Earth Science
How is Earth changing?
How will our planet change in the future?
What is causing Earth’s changes?
How can we meet the challenges of global change?
NASA’s Earth science program strives to understand the Earth system, including its response to change, and to improve predictions of climate, weather, and natural hazards.
Earth Science Education and Public Outreach
Earth science education and public outreach programs pair the expertise of researchers and communicators to bring clarity to the complex and dynamic system we call Earth. Of all the worlds NASA has explored, Earth is the only one we know of that is capable of sustaining life. Helping the leaders of today and the decision-makers of tomorrow understand how the Earth system works and changes is vital for the responsible stewardship of our planet now and into the future.
